| History & Influences : Myk and Jess have been playing together since the early years of high school. Starting, they were both around the ages of 14-15 at the time and Both coming from the Laurentians of Quebec. Jess from a small community called Wentworth and Michael, from Morin heights. The growing they did as musicians really lead into something spectacular, forming a stronger bond as friends they soon became much, much more. Myk And Jess went from preforming at local venues to doing benefit concerts, battle of the bands, and musical festivals. Recently after their series of small, yet rewarding accomplishments, Mike and Jess were fortunate enough to get recognized by a well accomplished producer/engineer Paul Northfield who has worked with various bands such as: Rush,Courtney Love, Suicidal Tendencies, David Usher, Moist, April wine, Dream Theater, and much more! He recognized their timid, yet raw talent at the time and was generous enough to help them out professionally. To this day they still can not believe how lucky they were to get that chance. Since then, Myk and Jess have been on an experimental ride. Playing with different sounds and song arrangements to see what fit. They were stuck, stuck on where they were going with their music, their style, and genre. Ultimately they decided that it did not matter what genre they were titled and what music they should be making, what was important was to just \\\\\\\"make it\\\\\\\"... and feel whatever felt right. Myk and Jess have discussed incorporating a live band to play for live shows, and maybe even in the studio, but for now, they have decided to go solo, and go acoustic. Today Mike and Jess have finally discovered their new acoustic, folk yet Trip/Hop sound in which they love and keep pushing their boundaries with what they can do. So that\\\\\\\'s Myk and Jess\\\\\\\'s story in a nut shell. |
